Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has announced the launch of Rajasthan Free Mobile Scheme in 2024 in the 2022-23 budget speech. This program is also called Chief Minister Digital Seva Yojana. Women heads of 1 crore 33 lakh Chiranjeevi families will be given free mobiles through this scheme. But recently it is being said that all the women Janadhaar card holders of the state will be given this mobile. Therefore, now 1.35 crore women are benefited from this scheme. Data up to three years will also be available for free in these mobiles. By 2024, the government will spend Rs 1200 crore on Rajasthan Free Mobile Scheme.
Mobiles will be given to beneficiary women at district and block level through e-Mitra. To get the mobile, the beneficiary woman will have to get her e-KYC done. Through Rajasthan Free Mobile Scheme, women of Chiranjeevi families will get mobile phones and they will be connected to the digital platform. - The mobile phone will get 5 to 10 GB data free every month for 3 years.
- This smart phone can be between Rs 5500 to Rs 6000.
- This phone with a 5.5-inch display will be made in India. Also, it will work on a four core processor and comes with 2GB RAM and 32GB memory storage.
- Women beneficiaries can use two SIMs on their mobile. An already activated SIM will be given in its first slot, which will not be replaceable.
- These mobiles will be connected to internet services of popular companies like Airtel, Jio and Reliance.
